I left work and ran into Winter Olympic Stars in Times Square!

The spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic winter games came to Times Square, with Team USA WinterFest! Imagine leaving work at 5 pm, and running into an obstacle course with fake snow, and an area full of Olympic stars. The thirteen-stop tour included a S’moresmobile that roams across several cities giving out free samples to all attendees.

There was also an interactive social media truck where fans can take pictures or get their faces painted while wearing accessories from other countries who compete at these Games (such as Canada). And don’t forget about our Curling Challenge presented by Oreo–you can play this game online using virtual reality equipment so make sure you sign up now before it fills up entirely too quickly!!

The Olympic and Paralympic winter games are important because they bring together athletes from all around the world in a spirit of competitive camaraderie. These games are about more than just competition; they are about celebrating human achievement. The Olympic and Paralympic winter games are a reminder that there is no limit to what humans can achieve when we work together. Athletes who compete in these games demonstrate the power of the human spirit and inspire us all to be our best selves.

There are always positive stories that come out of the Olympic and Paralympic games.

After the 2016 Rio games, a Brazilian woman named Mariana Moraes announced that she was going to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Moraes lost her leg in a motorcycle accident when she was just sixteen years old. She initially pursued competitive swimming as a form of rehabilitation, and eventually began competing in national and international competitions. After the Rio games, Moraes said that she wanted to use her story to inspire other people with disabilities. “I want to show people that if I can do it, they can do it too,” she said.

Moraes’ story is just one example of the amazing things that can happen when people come together in the spirit of Olympic and Paralympic competitions. These games are a time to celebrate human achievement and to inspire others to reach for the stars.
