Probably not. I remember a reference to a Czechoslovakian film called “Rossum’s Universal Robots” in 1920. The film was created by a young Czechoslovakian Karel Čapek. Karel also introduced the word “Robot” to the world.
Robotic process automation is actually being developed to help humans become more efficient, more accurate, and more productive. In fact, there is a substantial amount of people who still think RPA will replace their jobs, and yet they are spending more than 20% of their time searching for documents, for example. Their own and from others (email and web-based tools).
Fact: Many of us are still not leveraging a big portion of our existing, modern or not, legacy or not systems around us. Also, many of us have cumbersome step-intense processes. Here are some things we should let AI embrace:
- saving into ftp
- saving to the network
The statement will remain true. Automation is here to help us drive more agile results in our workplace. Robotic Process Automation will help us perfect our own internal processes and make a positive impact all around.
